I grew up in middle-of-nowhere Scotland leading two separate musical lives – jazz saxophone and strictly non-jazz guitar. After school I went and studied jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in London for 4 years, then toured the world playing guitar with indie band, Grand National, for a good few years after that. Writing, recording and production have been my focus since then; making music for TV, recording & producing bands and collaborating with up & coming artists. Keeping a mixture of things going on helps me to draw on a rich pool of inspiration when I’m making music. I love so many different facets of music there’s really no way I could ever commit to just one genre. The music I play, write and record hopefully reflects that and I get involved in as wide a variety of projects as I can.
